Not much has happened really in the world of special K, christmas was good, finally got enough money together to get my new imac, pretty sweet (you'd expect me to do some work since i got it, wouldn't you? nope.). New years was flipping awesome, i made a resolution to cut down on swearing, its going well so far.
Anyway, design wise this is what i have been up to the past few days. I recently made my bands new t shirts, after a week of deliberating with 3 most stubborn pernickity and generally annoying people we finally got something together that everyone liked, here it is:
The guys started out with the idea of hieroglyphics and then the band name somewhere and to make it "not look like a band shirt". Great. I started to brainstorm this idea and went off on a few tangents, i tried differennt sorts glyphs, foreign type, but didn't feel i came up with anything really original. I eventually came up with the idea of braille and started to make words and names out of it, then put it in a composition that i liked. I was then left with the spaces which i filled in with the band name "allstationsdown" as spaced out and hard to read as possible to make it as "un band shirt like" as possible, im pretty happy with how it came out and its getting printed pretty soon. stoked.
SO, college wise ive been having a bit of a faff, ive been planning a little photo shoot with some friends for a while, but i felt like i couldn't real do much else until then, and with the people i wanted to use for it being away, it put college work on a bit of a hiatus, but it was the holidays so i didnt complain.
This is a t shirt i made for "urban wear" which im going to later edit onto photos etc, but heres a grayscale version:
Tonight i just got back from the "photoshoot" with a few friends. One of my good mates/band member did all the photography but i generally directed all the action and positioned everyone (including myself!) Heres a few of the photos i plan to use on the site:
those beers aren't just props, we proper drank them! it was pretty relaxed and good fun. we made nachos afterwords, it was awesome.
Heres a sneak peaky at all this been put into the website and how the end product is actually going to look, im really happy with it so far, and i just hope that, for once, i finish it on time.

BY THE WAY if anyone knows how the flip to widen the center of my blog go tell me, my images keep getting clipped and its really grinding my gears.
